RESIDENCY PROGRAM FOR COMPOSERS

[April - May 2026]

As a participating composer, you will:

 

- Join a two-month residency program dedicated to contemporary composition.

- Present your artistic practice in online seminars and engage in open discussions with quartet performers.

- Learn from the diverse perspectives and working methods of fellow composers.

- Compose a new work for .abeceda [String Quartet] (full quartet or any combination and number of the instruments).

- Present your work-in-progress during online sessions and receive feedback from peers and performers.

- Collaborate closely with the quartet during rehearsals in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to prepare your work for performance.

- Attend the premiere of your new work at Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana.

- Receive professional video and audio documentation of your performance.

- Benefit from networking with an international community of composers and performers.

 

Participants unable to attend in person due to travel constraints may take part online (rehearsals via Zoom).
